Fran, Freddie & Fonzie

…Times were different back then, much simpler. Alaska and Hawaii weren’t part of the US; the Soviets had recently launched their Sputnik into space; passenger jet service had just started; telephones had cords and were wired to a circuit; some households even had party lines! Back then Television was a major source for entertainment and information and the place where I sat glued to the TV watching The Adventures of Rin-Tin-Tin and Lassie”.

In 1958 there were no iPhones, iPods, iPads; in fact the only familiar “i” was in “i Hop”!

But today, we are on information overload with devices that stream, what seems like, an infinite amount of news, stories, entertainment and gossip with warped speed. And when it comes to information about raising and training our pups, unfortunately, a lot of it is confusing, inaccurate, and ironically outdated!

They say that dogs are relinquished to shelters because of behavior issues, but I believe dogs are relinquished to shelters because of bad information on how to resolve the problems. It is in that vein, that I present my Retro TV program, called The Canine Kibble Club Show, where I will take you back to a simpler time, give tips, have guest appearances by knowledgable professionals and you’ll even get to see my dogs and cats (collectively called The F-Troop) performing incredible feats like waving a paw, sitting nicely for a treat or currently you can watch Freddie spinning a roulette wheel and doing an amazing SIT as evidenced by the cameraman’s, “WOW!”

I hope you enjoy the show, and remember don’t sit too close to the TV because it will ruin your eyes!
