This page has been revised to include the latest news about dogs, training, education and places to learn about training.
The dog Saving Network is focused on using various forms of entertainment to deliver the message of homeless dogs that end up in the shelter system. With the help of ordinary people and their dogs they are highlighting the importance of positive reinforcement training and its use in shelters to get and keep dogs adopted.
Currently this volunteer group led by the talented Chris Dignan, (a dog and marine mammal trainer at the Shedd Aquarium) is busy rehearsing for the show, Life’s Ruff that will be held at the Gorilla Tango Theater.
They have also staged some SIT-Ins around Chicago where you are invited with or without a dog to learn about positive reinforcement training and help raise awareness of the plight of shelter dogs in Chicago and across the country. If you volunteer with us we will teach you how to train a dog, one step at a time while helping shelters, one dog at a time!
Our next FUN SIT-IN will be announced soon.
